About the photographer
Chris Gornisiewicz is a wildlife photographer based in Cochrane, Alberta, at the doorstep of the Canadian Rockies. For years he has roamed the valleys of Kananaskis Country, the foothills around Cochrane, and the wild corners of Alberta with his camera — patiently waiting for the moments when the wild reveals itself.
His new website, kgwild.com, gathers nearly 600 photographs: grizzly and black bears, moose, elk, eagles, owls, and the smaller wild lives of Alberta — each frame honest, natural, and razor-sharp.
